PROPTOBERFEST 2019 RAISES OVER £10K FOR LANDAID
UPDATED DECEMBER 2019
The Completely Events team are absolutely delighted to confirm that the 2019 edition of Proptoberfest, the property industry’s annual fundraising and networking event, has raised a total of £10,954 for the charity LandAid.
The evening was held on 3rd October 2019 at Street Feast’s Hawker House venue in Canada Water, London. The Oktoberfest-inspired event is highly anticipated every year by property companies across the UK, and 2019 certainly didn’t disappoint.
The attending companies, which included Barker Proudlove, Godwin Developments Services, Time Retail Partners, LCP, Redwood Consulting, Hammerson, Smith Young and Montagu Evans, enjoyed a variety of delicious street food, flowing drink and live music by Brickwork, a band made up of property professionals including Hammerson’s Mark Bourgeois.
In addition to table bookings, fancy dress sales and charitable contributions made via the circulating LandAid donation buckets on the night, extra funds were raised through activities such as the Mystery Box game and Heads or Tails, which both went down a treat. There was also a silent auction where guests could bid on various works of art.
The next challenge for the Completely Events team? Members of the team will be taking part in LandAid’s SleepOut event on the 27th February 2020 and braving the cold overnight at The Oval, London.
If you would like to make a donation to our team for the SleepOut, you can do this via our Just Giving page. Any donation big or small is greatly appreciated and all proceeds go towards LandAid and the work they do to support vulnerable young people living on the streets.
Our ever-popular Proptoberfest fundraising event returns to London’s Hawker House in October
It may be too early to start thinking about Autumn when Summer has barely begun, however one date to get in your calendar early is certainly Proptoberfest 2019 – which returns to London’s Hawker House on Thursday 3rd October 2019.
Created and managed entirely by our dedicated team, we are incredibly proud that Proptoberfest is in its fourth year and has raised over £15,000 so far for LandAid. 2019 looks set to send this figure flying higher, helping LandAid in their fantastic mission to end youth homelessness.
This is no ordinary ‘networking event’
For those not familiar with the Oktoberfest-inspired event, Proptoberfest welcomes the property industry annually at Hawker House – an expansive, warehouse venue in London – promising an evening of good food, flowing drink, networking and, best of all, fundraising to raise money for LandAid. If there’s one thing Proptoberfest has in abundance, it’s Bavarian beer, lederhosen and an unbeatable atmosphere.
What to expect
Hawker House is no stranger to mind-blowing street food, having hosted a whole range of delicious street food among its halls over the years, and Proptoberfest will be no different in this respect. Expect some enticing concoctions with a German twist, so you can really immerse yourself in the Oktoberfest spirit.
Okay, so all the ingredients for a great event are there: amazing food – tick. Flowing drink – tick. Fantastic entertainment – tick. But this only sets the scene for Proptoberfest. The night is also a fantastic networking opportunity that gathers a massively broad range of companies in one room. Last year saw attendees from Crest Nicholson Regeneration, Cundall, Forsters, Lavastar, Legal & Contingency, McMullen Wilson, Montagu Evans, Quadrant Estates, SEGRO and many more. This year, companies that have already secured their table include CLS, Churchill Retirement Living, Rectory Homes Limited, Craigewan Consulting Limited, Tuffin Ferraby Taylor LLP, Russell Cooke and McDonald’s.
Raising money to help end youth homelessness
Over the last three years, every penny of the money that Proptoberfest has raised for LandAid has gone towards their fight to end youth homelessness. With this year’s event set to be bigger than ever, the Completely Events team are looking forward to raising even more money and continuing to unite the property industry to help support the charity’s amazing cause.
